Most mystery shoppers basically go in "undercover" as a typical shopper, engage employees in a particular scenario, then go home and fill out a report about the experience. You won't get rich doing this but it's fun and the little bit of extra income can't hurt. Below is a list of companies that use mystery shoppers and the majority let you apply online. Please note: These are listed in no particular order and to the best of my knowledge none of these companies charge you to become a shopper for them. Thanks to the internet the old days of having to pay for a list of companies or having someone put in your name to become a shopper with different companies are no longer necessary as alot of these companies have established a net presence and take your application online. You should never have to pay someone to work for them! The only money usually put up front is for purchases required during a shop, (usually anywhere from 2-10 dollars, which is reimbursed). Please let me know if you find that any of these companies listed here ask for your money to apply or get a job with them. I will remove it immediately.
